Welcome to the public preview of ThinkGlobalOhio.org. This site will grow into a multimedia “toolkit” of resources to help young Ohioans succeed in a high technology global economy and a diverse and interconnected world.
This resource is being developed by the International Education Advisory Committee, organized by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Susan Tave Zelman and comprised of leaders from Ohio P-12 schools, colleges and universities, business and industry, and non-profit organizations.
With support from the Ohio Department of Education, the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, and Time Warner Cable, ThinkGlobalOhio.org will be expanded to include a wide variety of resources for teachers, school leaders, parents and students. We hope you enjoy the public preview of this site, launched to help celebrate International Education Week. Please click the “Contact” link to provide suggestions and feedback to help us improve this site, and visit again in 2008 for the official launch.
International Education Survey Results
|
Ohio’s International Education Advisory Committee (IEAC) asked school administrators (or their designees) to complete a short survey about their schools to take the pulse of international education in Ohio schools.
The online survey consisted of 13 multi-part questions and was available from April 14 to May 5, 2008. It was publicized in the superintendents’ newsletter, the IDES of ODE, the Buckeye Association of School Administrators newsletter, as well as emails to individuals who have participated in international education events and another email to specifically encourage participation by urban districts. A reminder went out to the IDES distribution list during the last week of the survey. (more)
